Upcoming Events:

• 2010 Baskets of Love - Saturday, February 6th at the Women’s Residential & Couseling Center. Donations still needed: gift cards and $10 rolls of quarters. PLEASE VISIT THE PAGE DEDICATED TO BASKETS OF LOVE.
• TUTORS NEEDED for WRCC Tutoring Program - bi-weekly on Wednesdays, tutors are needed to help children with their homework. If interested please email us for more information.

• HELP NEEDED: Donation of a 2 night hotel stay with theme park tickets for one adult and two children. DREAM VACATION for the Florida Hospital Revenue Management (FHRM) adopted family. The FHRM team donated over $700 to the 2009 STG~WRCC raffle to not only help raise funds for the Center but also in the hopes of winning the prize for their adopted family. Since adopting the family of one grandmother and two young grandchildren, the FHRM team has supplied them with Christmas presents and groceries, filling their immediate needs. They unselfishly donated their pooled funds to win the Raffle Vacation Package. STG was so inspired by their dedication that are reaching out to our generous network in the hopes of sending the family on a much needed vacation.

Past Events:

WRCC/Coalition for the Homeless (Coalition) Children’s Easter Fun Day - (March 2008) - an afternoon of fun and games and snacks for the children of the two centers. Volunteers donated arts & crafts, games, stuffed animals, prizes, and ice cream for 35 children at WRCC and 60 children at the Coalition. Secured in-kind donation from HGV of 35 Easter baskets for WRCC residents. Provided Easter Bunny who played with children and took souvenir photos for the families.

Palm Lake Elementary Spirit Night Fight Against Cancer – (May 2008) - Gator’s Dockside. Raised over $5,000 for two Palm Lake teachers suffering from cancer. Secured corporate donation from HGV, Universal Studios, Seaworld Orlando and Victory Martial Arts for raffle drawing. Raffle prizes include two complete vacation packages (hotel stay, dinner certificate and park tickets) valued at over $1,000 each.

WRCC Back to School Block Party w/ Movie Night & School Supply Drive – (August 2008) – organized an HGV employee school supply drive for the 28 children who reside at WRCC whereby sponsors adopted a particular child and purchased their supplies based on their school supply lists. Hosted outdoor movie night complete with popcorn and snow-cone machines. Also collected supplies from employees through company wide initiative for the 60+ children who reside at the main campus of the Coalition.

WRCC Disney Day - (August 2008) – Space to Grow secured a corporate donation from Disney World for park tickets for moms and their children to enjoy a day at the park. We also secured corporate donation of transportation to/from WRCC day of the event from Mears Transportation.
